Google reportedly working with Motorola on 'X-phone', "X" tablet


Google Inc is reported to have got into developing a next gen tablet code named ‘X’ tablet with its newly acquired firm Motorola with the clear intentions of stamping its authority in the tablet segment. Also of course, the target is to wean away buyers from similar tablet offering from Apple Inc as well as Samsung Electronics. The former holds the lions share of the mobile devices market while the South Korean manufacturer tailing not far behind. Recently apple released Retina display MacBook priced at $2200.

To give teeth to their fight with Apple and Samsung in the mobile market, Google had taken over Motorola in the month of May for a sum of $12.5 billion. Inside information that Wall Street Journal had access to mentioned about Motorola working along with the X Phone there is another device that is being worked upon which would be sold by Verizon Wireless. Motorola have also acquired Viewdle which develops gesture recognition and imaging software and its application would enhance the X Tablet by way of more convenient features. 2013 is slated to be the year when this product hits the market. Larry Page, Google CEO has also mentioned about another “X” project after the phone project is over and these would have large market presence.
